The mileage will hurt the price, however, if someone is looking for a good looking driver and not too concerned with the respray, I would guess mid 30's.

If the paint and interior wasn't as good it would certainly be lower.

 

Why would one be concerned about the respray? If it was done well(which it looks like it was) then that would only help to increase the value of the car, after all the factory paint wasn't that great to begin with and the car has 70k+miles.

 

I agree that the respray will not hurt the price. If anything, the fact that the work appears to have been done well, and the interior is brand new and beautiful, would enhance the resale on the car. Basically, all the interior and exterior work that someone would have to do has already been done, and done well. The car is beautiful.

As for the mileage, it is a bit high, but not outrageous. If the car has been well maintained mechanically, and it had a recent belt service and everything is in working order, backed up with service records, I see no reason why someone would not want this car. In the shape its in cosmetically, which is very nice, and assuming a good mechanical history, my gut says the car is probably worth mid to upper $40s. Essentially, you are buying a car with all the expensive work done, and with a photo history of the work to back it up. Of course, in this market, price is a question mark; it's a matter of finding someone interested in buying.

 

Wow, that's a terrific looking Ferrari!

It'll be tough watching that one go, even if it is to make room for a 430 Spider.

Hi Maury. I have been seriously looking for a late 80s 328 about 2 months. In my limited experience the sweet rides with 20-40k miles with all records and recent major, plus 9/10 interiors and paint, are listed for the mid to upper 40's...assuming a 10% discount, they might sell from 42-44,000. Higher mileage cars (I've looked at two with mid 50k miles) are $36-38,000 asking.
I had someone tell me they would part with an 86 car in good shape (not perfect) with about 55k miles for $30 grand cash (I am a cash buyer).
One other factor, of course, is additional purchase cost for buyers like me. I fly to see the car, then you have a full PPI, consultation with your own mechanic, and then shipping costs.
Just one rookie buyer's perspective. Good luck with your car. You must be proud of the beautiful results of all of your hard work.
