    The top on my 348 Spider is looking a little shabby and somewhat shrunken away from the window channel so I decided to splurge and replace it. I got a price from a local shop for a GAHH German Canvas top for $ 3,600 installed. The top alone can be bought on the 'net for about $ 1,000 so $ 2,600 in labor sounded a little pricey. I am in Northeastern PA. Any opinions would be appreciated. I am not sure about my skills in installing one myself so I am tentatively backing away from that option.

    Has the tech at the local shop ever done exactly this before? If so, meaning more than once, then it's probably on-target. Just make sure they don't let their trainee do it alone.
