I have to be missing something here... http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/6/5/77661365.htm
Average.....I've seen a few hover at this price. 4Ferrari.com has a black/black spyder for $51k, although I can't vouch for them.
Not very surprising. 328, 348, 355 and now 360 prices have been depreciating steadily. Look at what 360 coupes and spiders are bringing on ebay as a rough reference. Saw what appeared to be a nice well maintained titanium f355 spider, challenge grill, books and records etc sell for $58k! I was considering the car at that price!
You saw a 355 Spider sell for 58K? Wow that is pretty low. I have seen them in bad/average condition go for 75K - are you sure you don't mean 348 Spider?
There is a 95 348 Spyder at a car dealer in my area. It's red with black top and he wants $82k for it. Isn't this a bit high?? Thought about going to look at it but for this price?
Not a 348 spider but a 1995 f355. The car actually sold for $59.1k. It had 45k miles but appeared to be well maintained with records. Had a challenge grill, $8k stereo, new Pirelli tires etc. All in all looked like a nice car. I did not view or research other than a friendly email to the seller. Could have been a diamond or junk!
It seems a bit low to me. Nothing you should walk away from - just make sure the car checks out. If it does - it seems like it's a pretty good deal.
Back when I was shopping for 348 Spider ( late 2002 ), a broker put me on a car that was in Texas. Like this one. Short story is - PPI revealed that the car had " received TRAUMA" - these exact words. The PPI report went on to list several other things wrong, including suspicous wear for the mileage on the odometer. Additional investigation showed the car had been used as a rental in Las Vegas for 3 years. I can not say this is the same car but - the car I am describing was last seen in this area. If it is the same car - Be afraid, very afraid.
....it's a great deal! I bought mine for $75, it was advertised at $80 at a dealer, w/6,000 miles on it. It was the upper end of what I wanted to pay, but the car was pristine. I think from a private party you can save $5-10K.
Rick's correct since I sold his car to a dealer for $64k. The car posted at the start of this thread has been for sale for over a year now. Originally, he was asking a price that low mile cars sell for. I think, over time he has stigmatized himself by trying to sell for so long & for so much. Although many people here love cars that have been 'driven', I think that for the same dollar most people would choose lower miles.
