Including all taxes (VAT and the special Dutch tax on cars) the standard GTO is 441.550 euro's. Thats before you tick any boxes for options.

In South Africa, our prices are largely exchange rate linked but most data I have seen list the price at around R4.2mil or thereabouts.

Looks very close to mine--just a few different options. My guess is in the US, most well appointed cars are coming in between $450-$460k.

As a grandmother once said: "Such a deal!" :)

Just curious if any of you got build sheets with your cars? This is the one for my car. Normally the dealer can print one for you and they are handy later since they contain all the color codes for paint and trim.

    I cost's 7.7 million danish kroners, and that's a lowball. It's probably a bit higher than that.

It translates to 1.407.594 cash dollars

Small island country like Taiwan where north to south measures only 250Miles in distance, and east to west about 60 miles and needs to fit 24 Millions population where one car parking space in Taipei could cost over USD$30K, and local government protects local auto industry in which leads to a 76% of import duty add on to the original price.

My 575M was purchased 99% new with 460Miles for USD$200K back in California USA, when I imported to Taiwan, I paid an extra USD$150K of duty which comes to USD$350K total, where local 575M were asking USD$450K roughly back when new....

Obviously, simply a "wealth transfer tax"...

Not one to whine generally about taxes, it strikes me that these are simply "pocketbook" extraction methods employed to collect a few extra dollars and keep the locals feeling like the wealthy are being fleeced--which of course, they are.

As for US taxes, while everyone cries about them, the fact remains we have amongst the lowest tax burden in the industrialized world...And, the highest--by a factor several fold--defense and health care budget.

Just think if we cut defense by 25% and better controlled healthcare costs--we could cut taxes even more! btw: does anyone really believe that if we only spent 2x as much as the next nation does on defense and if health care costs were better controlled, we'd be any less safe or any less healthy? :)

Ok...class is out for the day, and I agree, politics and GTO's really don't mix...
