S0 a car at $50k sells and those at $70k+ not so much. what does that say about the premise of this thread? Prices stable? Cars at the right price sell?
Needless to say my opinion is only based on the photos but that cars seems to be way under priced. Not exactly low miles, but if it's as good as it appears, that car should have been 10-15 higher. Try finding another with black carpets...
Cars always sell at the right price, there is just a constant debate on what the right price is. Given the lovely black/tan that sold so quickly at $50k, I would say that $50k is a selling price for a good F355 if you want to move it quickly. P.S. I think that black/tan is an awesome color combo and I would certainly not hesitate to pull the trigger on it if I could find a way to squeeze another car in to my garage.
Are original black carpets a big deal? I put black carpets on my tan interior......deeper pile than OEM too! That car sounds like a good value, and the mileage isn't low but not that high either.
I agree that black carpets look really sharp with tan or saddle or creama leather. And it is not a really common thing you find. Robb
He said he made an offer so you might not want to change careers to detective anytime soon And, yes, I'm joking around
Dave, as you pointed out in the other thread, Used 1997 Ferrari F355 for Sale in Sacramento CA 95815 Luxury Motor Cars 97 GTS with fresh engine out, 30k miles, $60k. Let's see how long it takes to sell. As for the black car, I don't think the black carpets would make or break the sale. Heck, my Boxster can with tan interior with black matts. Promptly ordered tan matts.
John, you are a rare breed. In one way you are particular enough (perhaps patient enough too), to wait 3 years to find what you felt was the right car (maybe right price too?). Yet, you dismiss any detail that makes a car rare. If I did not already own my black car and that black with black carpets came up in the 60's, I'd likely buy it. Needless to say, we all have different criteria when buying cars. My point is, it only takes one guy with cash who appreciates the car, and wants the car to buy it.
OK. Dave's car is the most valuable 355 ever built. Luke sold his so now he apparently looking at and "offering" on every Ferrari being offered for sale. We've seen Junkers go for $25K We've seen the queens go from $80K Those are the facts. Can we talk about something else now?
Nikki, We can talk about anything you like. So go start a thread and put your name on it! We will comment there! Robb
