how much do you think the car will cost to fix?

Besides that, lets hope the people are ok and such. An accident is never good.

Leon Spinks also put his new at the time 25th anniversary Corvette into the side of a tree.

What is it with boxers and cars anyways ?

Not sure.. There was one that stayed at the hotel I worked at, he'd drive in from Vegas in a Maybach, buy a Gallardo, 360 Spyder, Continental GT, and a few others then round up his friends to drive them back home at the end of his stay.

It was like he'd just won the lottery everytime he came into town. A fool and his money....

This is odd, considering the SLR is a 2-seater:

Did you mean 200mph? I have not heard this. Where did you get this info from?

Prince Naseem Hamed was fast in the ring but there was no way he was going 200 mph on that narrow road. The other driver in the Golf would have been killed instantly and the Prince would have been gone as well.

Perhaps the third person was in the Ford as the article also stated as follows: "Police said the boxer's Mercedes was travelling out of the city with a Ford Mondeo when the star's car was in collision with a VW Golf driving in the opposite direction."

This would also raise issues about the 200 mph speed, unless there are some very fast Fords other than GTs over there.

It is also interesting that the side airbag on the side of the impact did not seem to deploy, but the one on the other side did.

That would have been a shame if Nas did end it (his life) that way. It could have drawn similarities with how sudden Barerra ended his career!

I can - look at what he was driving! There are some "interesting" photos on the MB forums and our MB dealer has some photos of an E class that smacked a power pole big time and caught fire - the woman walked away unhurt. I'll take my '04 C 320C and '05 SLK 350 over most cars any day!

No, he is not really a prince. He was a cocky, flamboyant and very talented boxer for a long time.

Remember his boxing matches on HBO a few years back? Remember how long it would take him to get to the ring from the time he first appeared on the screen? About 10-15 minutes of ridiculous dancing, smoke, screens, etc... That alone made me root for him to get his ass kicked.

Yeah, his ring entrances were a bit over the top. I also remember how cocky he would be when Larry Merchant would interview him. I would think why can't this guy shut his mouth and just box. Yet he was an exciting boxer to watch since he would often knock out his opponents. I think he finished his career at 35-1 with like 31 KO. His only loss came to Marco Antonio Berrera and for whatever reason Hamed didn't even try in that fight(Maybe he bet against himself-wouldn't be suprised). But it wasn't rare to see him get knocked down too but he would always get back up. He is a small guy too about 5 ft 3 I believe. Maybe he will have to start boxing again after he gives a nice settlement to the injured driver he hit.

Poor SLR. Too bad it was solidly constructed enough to prevent serious harm to its driver.
