Hello all! Weird question, but though I'd give it a shot. I'm getting married in Sept 2012 :), and for our engagement photos, the fiance and I would like to incorporate our passions as the part of the shoot. Specifically, her passion is travel and mine is cars. To depict travel passion, we would love to shoot at an airport; I'm thinking a small, private airport with a plane/luggage in the background. I also have a thinking that a car shot (my passion) would go nicely with the travel stuff as well.

Would anyone know of any leads, located near Houston? I certainly appreciate the help!

Are you wanting to get out on the ramp next to a private aircraft? Most FBO's these days don't let anyone on the ramp unless you own aircraft or are a passenger/crew.

Wish I saw this earlier. There was a show at the 1940 hanger in Hobby yesterday with planes and classic cars. They do it every 3rd Saturday of the month. Next month I think it helicopters and bikes(choppers and choppers) theme

Willing to drive a bit? Check out the Hangar Hotel in Fredricksberg. I'm certain the staff there can work out something for you.

This is where you need to do it....at Hobby Airport on the west Telephone Road side.
Opposite side f the field of the current Terminal, this is the original one, a wonderful Art Deco architecture...

It's the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, inside you can go all the way up to the Control Tower, the Lobby is newly renovated and they have historical displays...they have Hanger 1 next door and some vintage planes to use as photo backdrop (and you can get out to a limited area on the tarmac, to see the planes.)

The manager is a fox, tell her I said "hello"...

You can use my Ferrari if you want it...
