On the way home from Monterey last weekend we had a discussion about Ferrari's, the privilege of owning one and after the p4/5 unveiling, the pecking order within the community.
The Carmel/Monterey experience offers such an unbelievable perspective, where every corner displays another super car you have never seen before and you might pull up to a 4 way stop and be faced with literally millions of dollars worth of cars!!
And even more astounding is walking around the pits at the Historics and seeing guys with their own semis, getting ready to race a 3 million dollar car against a whole bunch of other priceless cars.
Then, bingo, three hours away you are again awash in Honda's and Toyota's and any Ferrari or Lamborghini, no matter how lowly just a few hours before, is now the star of the gas station, with questions and thumbs up etc.

Its an amazing world and privilge comes in so many levels. And of course most of them have nothing to do with cars or houses etc but thats another story for another place.

Anyway, at the end of our discussion we were trying to figure out just how many Ferraris have been made over the years. I know I could google it but its more fun to ask here and let Carbon or some equally audacious Ferrari nerd the chance to show off their knowledge!!:D:D

And thanks Enzo for sharing this privilge of ownership with us.

I think if you multiply the 308 production by the 360 production, you get the total amount of Ferrari's produced to date. :D

And if you compare that number to the 6,000,000,000 people in the world, you have a pretty exclusive club (even against the mere 300,000,000 in this country).

I think that would be a little high.
Maybe GTO production X 360 production?

I believe it was all they have made since they started. Some kind of formula of odd numbering cars serial number from the beginning to about 75000 then they have used all numbers since.

do a searh on this forum, I thought it was here where I read it.

And Ford has double that many unsold F series trucks sitting in inventory right this minute. Ponder that for a few minutes...

    Hey, I resent that implication--my daily driver is a 06 f150 4x4!!! ;)

130,000 seems high to me. Where is Carbon when we need him!

    hey, there you are.

as far as your reference from Cor. about what fellowship can light have with darkness??

My guess would be the instant you open the door during the day in a tinted black/black enzo and the light rushes into to the beast....
