BBC just announced that the FIA announced that ProDrive is the 12th team for 2008. This will make for a VERY competitive season IMO. Carol
I was listening to BBC news on the satellite while driving to work a few minutes ago and heard a bulletin that the FIA had just announced the selection of Prodrive as the 12th team in F1 with participation commencing with the 2008 season. Based on their performance in other parts of motor sport, this should add to the competition level of the sport. John Moderator: I didn't realize Carol had already posted. Please kill this post. Sorry for the duplication.
According to pitpass.com there were no less than 22 teams applying for that 12th spot. Which makes me wonder three things: - where do these number of teams come from? - is F1 suddenly that attractive financially and commercially? - why is the number of teams limited to 12? Ciao, Peter
Seems I read somewhere that Eddie Jorden had also expressed an interest but don't know if it's true. John
