Help needed please Problem with gear box of my 360 2001 spider Was driving fine and suddenly stoped with gear box light on and turns no N position. I Start the car again and drive for 1km more and again happen. After that I can’t never shift any speed. Every time I turn on the key 3 beeps sound and the light of gear box on. Take the car home with the truck and notice the oil of f1 was very low. I put it on level and try the car but no luck. Any ideas??? Check fuse and relay and looks fine. F1 pump works fine like always, no diferente sound our timer… everything perfect. Only the 3 beeps and light on and I can’t put no shifts on in anyway… Thanks
Not.much to go on .. Any fluid anywhere ? Need to read codes If you say pump cycles and runs correctly then I would say one of the sensors (potentiometer or position sensor ) or even a clutch solenoid Reading the codes stored and do some.timings of pump cycle will.narrow down issue
That’s my other problem I have the Launch machine and I can go “inside” any component of the car execept the gear box ♂️ Always get the mesage to chech if it’s well connect… any ideas?? No fluid lost that I can see. Since I refill it the level it’s perfect and don’t go low. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Has he got a slug of air i system due to his very low oil level, does the 360 have the same air bleed on the valve block like the 430 ? Might be worth giving it an air bleed using it
maybe, but to bleed it I need to go inside the gear box system with machine and I can’t go throw don’t know why ♂️
By using this bleed you return fluid to the f1 tank with the air, then switch pump on again to get full pressure and repeat bleeding. Just keep eye on tank level as will g down as air released, also another air release on side of gearbx
Mike If air got in there , since he drove , it went into the clutch and / or the actuator I am thinking he may not have measured correctly This sounds like sensor issue to me Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
The launch and and most of all the other inexpensive diag tools are unable to connect to the TCU of early model cars They keep trying to fix it with software updates but I haven't seen it work yet The way to get codes is to have someone with a Leonardo or a Ferrari SD tool check it .. If you wrench on you car and want to maintenance, you maybe better off upgrading your TCU to a CS version or a later 360 so that you can communicate with it and do the work If everyone who has a launch and a 360 uses the feedback menu item after a failed connection session with the TCU launch will definitely pay more attention and maybe fix it once and for all If you want to talk on the phone just drop me a PM and I will send my number Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
I am thinking its good first move as he had a very low tank level, he cannot connect to the codes anyway. Better than changing sensors and then find air in system. Looking at diagram the 360/430 valve block and pump look similar ?
Mitch If he cannot get into any gear - it may be the clutch position sensor since the potentiometers allow a shift to 2 nd - all a guess here without codes and some timings
The port is fine .. it is the software/dongle/ firmware issue - we need to keep sending feedback using the "feedback" button / menu on launch until they get it right
I was driving my 360 spider f1 and had a very similar thing happened when I came off the motorway and at the roundabout hit a bump and the gearbox dropped into neutral and couldn't select any gears!! Pulled in switched off and restarted and all seemed ok. As I was on the way taking car to garage for the service I mentioned this to the technician and he said straightway it will be the engine cover switch at the back needs adjusting. They did this and I have never had the problem since and that was 6 months ago. May not be your fault but worth checking.
Late 2003 and 2004 with TCU numbers 197533 and 211023 Launch continues to make fixes supposedly to read older TCUs but I haven't seen any improvements yet ..granted limited testing All that being said .. if you find a perfect car don't let the TCU version steer you away ..it can be reflashed by @eric355 Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
I think it will not be my problem but I will check it anyway… I’m waiting for a friend who has Autel machine to see if I can go throw the system and read fault codes ♂️
Unfortunately I don't think the Autel will be any better than the launch ..sorry Where are you located ? Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
