    thats a strange incredible problem on my mondial 88 3.2

    i insert the key and when i turn the key on , (position two,before the turn on engine)
    the upper odomoter start to count!! 1,2,3,meter 10,20, and increase the general mileage
    and its sooo fast!!
    yesterday i try to check the fuse box, the car jump 1000 km just parked!!! thats insane!!

    when i turn on on position 3 and start the engine, everthings work, but the partial odometer count fast too!!!

    car are very pristine 49800 original km, two owners, (me included) keep in the garage and serviced for all his life!

    i suspect two problems

    1) electrical problem inside dashboard instruments (hell to disassembling)
    2) speedometer sensor on transaxle send crazy signals (but rpm and speed working while odometer running like slotmachine)

    somebody can help me ?

    Never heard of this before but the sensor on the gearbox is prone to failure & I would start by just disconnecting that & seeing if its still adding km. There is a connector right beside the sensor that you could undo.

    If its not still adding km then just change the sensor - - you just need a long socket to undo it.

    If its still counting with the sensor disconnected then I think you will be needing to take the dash apart.

    todayi disassembled the dashboard and instruments!!!!!
    tomorrow i will post it some pictures
    i found the threads and the connector

    i suspect that odometer signal counter is out of control and self start

    somebody have the schematics of the odometer?

    i remove the ODOMETER

    light system working very well

    Timer/date I dont know

    but when i get to instrument +12v on IGN thread

    instruments start to count km !!!!!

    someone have the schematics of this part ? Veglia ?

    I had the same problem. It was the sender shorting to ground because of bad connections at the sender.

    solved (or maybe, is on TEST mode)

    after two days, without schematics we find a burn transitor (1 watt final )

    now odometer dont start like a slot machine and work! i hope that its fixed! (i pray)

    pictures of work (very good for who wanna dissassembling dashboard)
