I just picked up my first Ferrari, a 2018 812 Superfast, and it's been incredible so far. The one issue I've run into (which for some reason I didn't notice on the test drive) is that I can't seem to find a comfortable seat/steering wheel position. The steering wheel doesn't extend far enough towards me, which results in my having to slide the seat forward so my arms are a comfortable distance to the wheel, at the expense of my legs being very cramped up (or vice versa, sliding the seat back far enough so my legs extend more comfortably results in the wheel being too far away/my arms being too outstretched for my taste).

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there any possible way to extend the steering wheel/column farther (maybe a spacer of some sort)? Or even push the pedal box farther back (I have to assume that's impossible)? I'm 5' 9" so I wouldn't consider myself to be abnormally short or tall, so I feel like I'm missing something as far as why I can't get comfortable in this car.

    Thanks for any help!

I think it's a common issue with Ferraris... It looks like Italians have longer arms (or shorter legs...)

Yeah, they could've done better. I like to sit as low and as far back as the seat will allow (wish it were more). But, if I lower the steering wheel to a position that best accommodates me, the wheel blocks the mid to upper view of the tach. So, as to have nearly full view of the tach, I'm forced to drive with arms extended at shoulder height. Same with my 488.

Do your legs extend all the way to the ground? I find that helps.

I guess you might be just in the right (wrong) size proportions for the car? I’m 6’4” and have been able to get my seat and wheel into a perfect spot. My fiancé is 5’4” and is also able to get it just right for her.

I actually have 2 seat positions saved in. 1 for more sporty upright position, and 1 for more leaned back relaxed on a multi hour drive. I will say, I wish I could get the seat back maybe 1 more inch in a perfect world.

Might be worth trying to find a position with tilting/raising or lowering the base of the seat to help adjust your legs?

I’m 5-9 and car has all electric seats, no issue in adjustment; maybe limited adjusting racing seats your issue?

181 and no problem. Could you measure the distance from the wheel to your chest when that distance is as you would like it to be?
Also, at what angle is your elbows if you put the seat so that your legs are where you would prefer them to be?
    How tall are you?
