Problem With Gas Pump at Service Station

I've had to fill up my new GranTurismo twice now, and each time the automatic shutoff on the gas station's pump kept going off prematurely, and repeatedly. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I'm reluctant to stand there and just hold the pump handle, as I don't want to risk overfilling the tank. Plus, it's inconvenient...
