    Good evening from Spain, guys.

    I've got a problem with the sound of the rear subwoofer in my F430.

    Since I got it, I haven't heard any sound from the subwoofer speakers, only a very faint vibration.

    Yesterday, we opened the box and we only found one speaker in the upper hole, the one I'm showing in the pictures below. The lower hole of the box was blind and with no speaker.

    The Carrozzeria Scaglietti user's manual shows in page number 50 that the subwoofer box contains a DOUBLE speaker (active-passive).

    Does anybody know if one speaker is missing or the actual "double speaker" is just this single speaker with a double conection?

    Good evening sir,

    while I don't own one of these beautiful F-cars, I can say that I don't think the speaker should look like that! It looks like it was hacked/cut and stuck to fit inside. If your manual states something about a double speaker, I would believe that you should have found 2.

    Others how have changed there systems will be best to confirm, but like I said, I have never seen a speaker like that before that looks like someone was cutting and modifying it. I will guess this would be a good time and reason to update the speakers now!

    dadswrld: the speaker looks like this because we cut it to take it out from the box, leaving the grill with the screws attached. It didn't work anyway.

    BrandonH: I have read at the eurospares website (http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult_one.asp?S=188610&TM=1&TMo=375&TA=2&TB=20018) that my speaker is an original subwofer (reference 188610). This speaker should be installed in the hole below but it was actually in the upper one.

    To complete the subwoofer system I certainly need the second speaker (reference 188609) which is the one that goes in the upper hole.

    I don't really know if there's something better in the aftermarket or something else with similar quality but at a better price. I would be really grateful if someone knows where to find them.

    Thanks for clarifying. I'd be pretty upset if when I opened it up, that's what I find. In any case I hope you find a good replacement and get some decent back inside. Enjoy your ride.

    OEM are junk.....anything aftermarket will be better.

    Whatever you do make sure it is done right. You can be frugal just don't be cheap.

    The cone is not connected to the frame so it's a bad speaker. Someone destroyed it somehow. Couple decent aftermarkets and you'll be all good :)
