    It should just push straight out once you removed the single nut in the centre on the back and the front face plate after removing the two volume & tuning controls, once you have done this there shouldn't be no problems, I have answered several threads on this before and they have removed them succesfully

    Pete, I believe you but mine just does not. I have pushed, pulled and nearly applied a hacksaw to it, but thought better of it in the end :D.

    This will not come out. Russ has suggested there may be another plate with a nut behind the leather front. It seems odd I know but does appear to be holding on around the tuning control.
