I ordered some 355 material from one of the site vendors. When the shipment arrived, one of the items was not what I ordered (it was a 456GT brochure not the 355 brochure I ordered). I have the paypal receipt and I have a record of what I ordered so I know the wrong item was shipped. I have been trying to reach the vendor since December 14th with no response to any of my e-mails. All I'm asking for is the item I paid for.

I've left a complaint on PayPAl site, but that isn't worth much.

Any thoughts on what to do next?

    Oh, the vendor is: http://www.************.com/

They have several different sites, all links eventually to the same memorabilia, etc. I have tried SIX different e-mail addresses, and no response from any of them.

    Help????

    Thanks,
    Kevin Moak

They’ve been hard to reach at times. Last Holiday Season namely.
But they’ve always made right any discrepancies. Sorry to hear…

Yes, i've heard they don't answer emails for long periods but they do get back to you. Every mistake that they've made that was posted on here was resolved eventually.

Seems that once I posted to this site, they managed to communicate...via nasty-grams saying it's all my fault and that I haven't responded to them...silly really. Oh well, I can only hope it works out eventually. Now that they have managed to "communicate" at least there is a chance for resolution. I've sent them copies of all of my e-mails to them and the copy of the invoices and the receipts for payment. Hopefully, this will have a happy ending.

Hope everyone has a great holiday and a happy new year!

Sometimes he does take a long time to respond to emails. I had a "problem" about a year ago but everything worked out in the end.

    Good Luck,

Hi kevin, i am surprised to hear that as like many others i have also ordered from ************ and it arrived promptly and was spot on. There service was good and i would use again.

But then again i do recall reading off this forum that other(s) have ordered and have not had the same luck esp with contacting them, with addresses given in different places i.e one in Holland? - can anybody confirm?

I hope it all goes well.

I have tried to communicate with this guy. He complained that my e-mail address wasn't working, so I set up a separate account on a web mail system. I've sent him numerous e-mails (from both e-mail accounts and to every single e-mail address I have for him - must be 5 addresses) asking for either a refund or the item he was supposed to send me, and I've gotten NOTHING. Even when he was communicating with me (via paypal) he never addressed the issue that he sent me the wrong item and has NEVER offered to resolve the problem, simply berated me for not having a working e-mail address (so how come it works when he sends me e-mail from paypal?? it's the same e-mail address). It's been two weeks since he has responded to anything.

It's only $70, but it's really pissing me off. It's not the money, it's the fact that he won't acknowledge that he sent me the wrong brochure nor offer to refund my money. I hate dealing with people like that. I just don't understand why he won't simply refund my money on paypal. That would be so simple. I've even offered to ship him back the wrong brochure he sent me (at his cost, of course - it was his mistake, not mine), but I've heard nothing back from him.

So, what the heck do I do now?

Life is too short for this crap, so I guess I'll probably just give up at this pont, but you can be sure I won't recommend this guy to anyone and certainly won't ever deal with him again.

On the brighter side, the weather looks like it might be nice enough for a 355 commute tomorrow, so life is good.

Sorry to hear of your predicament. Letting the world know like this is your best bet. Contact Rob too.

I don't know why these flakey vendors aren't bounced out of here as sponsors. This isn't the only one I've herd of currently on the sponsor list that's flakey. As a matter of fact there are 4 that there have been complaints about that I recall. They end up spoiling it for the ones that work hard to earn our business IMO.

Quite possibly a poll is in order to weed out and or a rating system like ebay has to get them to smarten up.

Good luck and let us know if you get things resolved.

This might be a long shot, but you could try posting a thread on the European section. Its possible that one of our Dutch friends may be able to intervene or assist in some way. Best of luck.

I think a poll is a great idea! I think it should even be a sticky! this is an important subject...more important then a lot of these hypothetical discussions that we have...
