Yes it's all as original, These are now about to be stripped and worked on , finished off to a better quality so we can carbon skin them. Note how crappy the carbon dipped look is by the way,he sent one dipped and one not as I said not to bother with that Finnish on my account. As I previously said , they are not really acceptable as a finished product nor are they worth the money but if like me you don't want to ruin all the work you've already done searching the earth to find parts to bring your car up to CS spec by adding the GT style carbon mirrors that I just couldn't live with, your really not left with much of an option. Anyway puts a smile on my face. They look like they would be on painted black without the fake carbon look for $500-$1000 CAD. Opening the eBay link and seeing $7000 CAD with Shipping seems ridiculous for a plastic part.
These look like the same mirrors on an Italian site for 1/5th of the cost as the eBay link. I can not find anymore information as you need an Italian phone number to make an account. https://www.subito.it/accessori-auto/specchietti-per-ferrari-360-challenge-stradale-macerata-495114570.htm
Yes I also found them for sale in Germany cheeper too but for some reason found it impossible to get an account to get in touch with the seller........
These what you found? https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/aussenspiegel-ferrari-360-challenge-stradale-look-zubehoer/2175637087-223-8939 There must be an original source for these somewhere but I cannot find it.
Yes, that's the one ,ital car doc , I was actually in contact with them through WhatsApp, got as far as them saying they would send an invoice, they went quiet for a few months after that then said they were waiting on stock, the price was around 1000 euro less than I paid.
Interesting. My wife has a place very close to Macerata and I was there last week. I could have gone to visit them!
Coming apart now to be skinned in real cf , they are going to need some heavy modification to make to hinge stronger in the base. All stuff we where prepared for and no big surprise Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
No Look to be molded out of some sort of resin and made in section's , will know more once we have stripped back all the coating back to its bare state
I wouldn't mind a set of resin mirrors finished nicely in a trim black colour until someone makes a nice carbon replica... for the right price though...
To be fair the OEM mirrors use crappy (small) screws too. See my posts on fixing them here: Wobbly 360CS Side View Mirror - Any fixes?
Very true but just wanted to air on the side of caution, bit more weight on these mirrors of mine compared to genuine carbon ones.
Here looks to be the manufacturer of those folding CS mirrors. They look to be a fiberglass body panel company that makes conversion kits for the special models. https://rossoinnovazione.com/ https://www.facebook.com/p/Rosso-Innovazione-Parts-100057523275002/?paipv=0&eav=Afadb7n3LLZ5ZMGFRIaYzEaU3BcpkX00r6kFFDaHPuAP7-g9K_LrBUHLvHt39gRKemE&_rdr
yes it looks like they are the source. I would be interested, but even their price is too high. maybe an organized group buy to bring the cost?
I agree. A set would be nice to hold over till a full carbon version gets released. I tried emailing two of the emails that I found but one bounced and the other has not given a response yet. I don't really have time to organize a group but but if someone does that would be interesting. If not I will hold out that a carbon set gets released one day.
Looks like he hasn't logged on in a couple months...but considering his thread got completely derailed by a crappy set of ebay knockoffs, I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to continue.
It was dead in the water long before the knock off's . That's why I bought them........ Their coming along nicely btw and being remade in carbon.
The consensus on those mirrors after researching them was that they were obviously extremely overpriced for the material and quality and we were all waiting on updates to the original real carbon project. Do you plan to produce more carbon sets? If you are able to do it economically and the cost isn't too high I would be interested in a set just like the original poster of the thread was planning on producing. I think everyone who has been waiting would be too most likely.
I wasn't really that bothered on the price, I did manage to haggle him down around 1000 pounds too. I just was obsessed with having that shape mirror on my car at any means, as I said before they don't come in a presentable state to go on the car but the shape is perfect. We are making molds but I'm concentrating on making a one off for myself first but will see if it's a worthwhile project at Finnish. Btw I did try on numerous occasions to get in contact with the owner of this thread before committing to buy the "cheap eBay knock off" I'll upload some pictures hopefully in a few weeks when I've got my set done
