does anyone know the production dates of the 07 599 im in the market for one but want one that was built at the end of their production run
Sep/Oct 06-Sep/Oct 07. There is a build date on a dataplate on the car, so all you have to do is ask for that. Anything built in Summer 07 or later is a late car. 08s are not much more expensive.
thanks this one is a june 2007 build date also i am looking at an 08 with a june 2008 build date the local dealership told me to make sure the gearbox fluid has been changed at 3yrs only a few of the ones i have been looking at have this in their records many have had annual service done but only about half had the gearbox fluid changed thanks for the info
I do not have a service schedule for the 599, but on earlier cars like the 575M and 612, the change interval was every two years. Many pros recommend every year, because the gearbox is pressure fed and pumping the fluid is rough on it.
Production of 2007 model year 599s began in the summer of 2006 and continued for a little more than a year into late 2007.
The 2008 model came with $32,000 in addional options which raised the MSRP versus the 2007's. Also additional tweaks and updates were made on 08's.
