Just wondering if anyone has access to a webpage or link to what the production number were of Ferraris, by year, model, colors, etc, and what number of those are exported from Italy to USA, and then what areas of USA. I'm particularly interested in 2000 GTA 456M. I know that's asking for a lot of information, but in today's world of gathering data points, it's probably out there under one or more sites/locations. Any ideas, feedback would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

If you find that, I would be interested, too.

See the replies to your comment in the 456 thread - repeating questions does not make it happen !

And if that data existed do you not think a site like this might not have it clearly flagged ?

i know 2 figures that i believe to be correct:
total number of 456mgt in LHD was 489
total number of 456mgt in RHD was 128

so if you can figure out what the total number of 456m's was, then you can deduce the number of automatics. then apply the usual rule of approx 50% going to the usa, divide that by the 5 years of production, and you will get pretty close to your desired figure.

Total factory production of the 456M up to 2003 (as stated in maranello concessonaires UK - thanks to Taz):

    631MGTA (139 RHD)

Cavallino list the following production. Their data base is maintained by Keith Bluemel, Ferrari historian and author.

    Model Years Built
    456 GT 1992-98 1548
    456 GTA 1996-98 403
    456M 1999-03 NA

They do show numbers for the M.

    456GT.com list the following:
    Cars produced:
    456 GTs 1,548 cars:
    141 UK RHD GT's

    456 GTAs 403 cars:
    61 UK RHD GTA's

456 Venice (all produced specially for the Sultan of Brunei):
    7 RHD 4 door estates
    3 RHD Cabriolets
    2 RHD 4 door saloons

we suspect these 12 cars are actually included in the 1548 total number of 456GTs produced.

    456M GT's 688 cars:
    33 UK RHD M GT's

    456M GTA's 650 cars:
    136 UK RHD M GTA's

Total Number produced: 3289 of all versions of the 456GT.

Keith - Cavallino's numbers are all pretty much wrong on the late model cars. Need to send a note to Keith Bluemel about fixing them. Best source we have had is Maranello Concessionaires, who got their numbers directly from Ferrari. Penske bought them around 2005 and I have not seen anything more recent than about late CY 2005, though. Their "A Guide to Ferrari Road Cars" pamphlets have very good data on total production and RHD UK production.

An example of incorrect numbers is 550 production 3600, actually 3083. Wrong first 575M, too, should be 123674, one of the two preproduction prototypes, 123764 and 123765, that were later brought up to production specs and sold. Not sure where Keith gets his info.
