Professional audio installer in the area?

My car is coming home soon on a transport from its service. i would like to upgrade the overall sound system, nothing radical, just an improvement over stock. I'm putting the system together now with the help of a pro audio Fchatter, but would like to find a chicago area installer that knows what they are doing for the install, preferably someone who has done a ferrari or two.

I had posted the same thing and most referred to ABT. Apparently they have a TOP 5 installer in the country and they do amazing work. Some Fchatters have had their sound system done there...

What components are you installing?

Let us know....many of us still need to upgrade

 

Well, we are still working on it actually. I'm trying to keep it stock looking, understated, avoiding the fast and furious ricer look. Id like to find something that is CD delete considering i don't use them anymore. Just iPod/USB.

I currently have a dealer installed NAK. It looks very nice, just not that powerful. I have no clue what my speakers or tweeters are but probably very basic stuff.

During my service i had them install a Nouvalari exhaust so i'm sure its going to be even harder to hear the tunes at the lights.

So i'm still shopping for the head unit, i'm thinking Focal speakers / tweeters and still shopping the amp. No sub. My fchat friend that is in the business but lives in Canada, he is sending me some options later tonight. I'm looking forward to what he suggests, i'll share the list when we firm it up.

I still would like to get in touch with an independent expert audio shop.

 

Autowerks in Northbrook has a great installer. I know they have redone systems from Abt...I thought Abt was a sure shot but a couple friends who have had pricey systems recommend Autowerks over Abt, who have had systems done by both shops. They aren't far from each other, shop 'em both
