Professor Joe Sackey

Dear Comrades,

The illustrious Professor Joe Sackey has not held court here for many days and nights. It is most unusual for him to be away from his stewardship of the Forum for so long. Does anyone know why he is not here? Is it perhaps that he may be completing the writing of a thesis on the USA F40 thus to gain his well deserved PhD? The place is rather dull without his presence so does anyone know when we are likely to see his happy return?

It's very good to see your return and I have received your e-mail. Thank you.

The English F-40 Lightweight is still in fine fettle though presently looking rather forlorn having not ventured out onto the Queens highway for more than a fortnight.

You may inform Margaret that it is presently very cold here in England with heavy overnight frosts being very much the norm of recent times. Indeed, the temperature again dropped very quickly this afternoon so it looks like another heavy frost in the morrow.

Ah, not entirely true. Witness the sudden life that has sprung into the Forum since Comrade Joe's return from the wilderness. You said it yourself with regard to how peaceful it had been. And Comrade Joe always behaves very well even when under heavy verbal mortar fire from some quarters. This notwithstanding, there has been a complete dearth of acharnement on here for some little while. Oh, has there been any evidence, pictorial or otherwise of the English F-40 that Joe has acquired? If so can it be resurrected on a new thread. Actually, I'm going to start one right now

If no one posted there wouldn't be a Forum. And with little or no controversy it would be terribly dull. So every now and then there has to be a catalyst to precipitate a little activity and it's drawn you out which is great

What's the chassis number of your car, please? And is it an American Heavyweight F-40 or the Lithe Lightweight English F-40?

Yes, it's a very nice organic evolutionary thread which requires a little more fertiliser to really get it under way. And yes I do mean 'Fertiliser' not a load of sh*t
