Did you replace the tan trim pieces or paint them black?

The tan leather was removed from the metal/fiberglass trim pieces and recovered with black.
Same thing with the carpeted pieces of the center console.

As a result of eliminating the mouse belt systems, several of the trim pieces were no longer needed, and I didn't recover those.

These are the trim pieces that didn't go back on the car, and they are for sale!

Just a suggestion: You might consider adding the Hill Engineering machined aluminum dash pod and console rings sold by Ricambi. It is amazing what those simple rings add to the interior look. Your car looks great! Have a fine Christmas and a best ever New Year!

Really nice job. I am interested in a little more detail on how you removed the mouse seat belts and what you did to cover up the track area? Any suggestions on how to convert to the stationary belt system without using a 355 seat set up?

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with the results, and it looks so much better in person than the pics. Its like getting into a brand new 348!

Jay, removing the mouse belt crap is actually easier than I thought it would be, the hardest part was getting the motors out, the bolts are hard to get at. If you decide to remove yours, let me know, I have some tips that'll make it easier for you.

As far as the carpet, I got a floor carpet from a 355, they obviously don't have mouse belts, so the carpet wraps up and hooks onto the door jamb body seam (under the moulding).
There are some small brackets welded to the floor pan that hold the mouse belt trims in place (1 on the left & 2 on the right)... You have to cut them off or bend them over flat against the floor pan for the 355 carpet to go in.

As far as seat belt options... other than 355 spider seats or a harness bar setup, you can convert to a Euro or '89 U.S. 348 setup or a 355 setup, but you will need to replace all the rear deck trims and the seats themselves (from a euro or '89 348, or 355 GTS or Berlinetta).

I found it simpler, and certainly cheaper to just go with 355 spider seats, but they are powered, so you have to have the savvy to wire them up with switches... IF you want them to move! ;)

If anyone needs any specific advice on any of this kind of stuff, feel free to PM me, i'm happy to help!
BTW, all the tan carpet pieces (the door panel pieces too) are still available if anyone needs any or all of them... they are all in great shape, and I will GIVE them to any f-chat member FREE if you need them!
