My wife and I dropped by Daves the other day and traded lenses. Dave has a great house and his garage is awesome. He keeps the place immaculate. But what impressed me the most is the condition of his Black 355......simply unbelievable. By far the best example of a 355 I have ever seen. I doubt they looked that good coming out of the factory. Dave is a great guy and I wish I could have spent more time but we had a dinner to attend a few hours later back in Toronto....next time.
    Thanks Dave

Shift gate / Switch trim. The one that came with my car was total trash. The seller actually had a spare (sticky) and sent it to me but one ear is bent so I used that to practice with the sticky removal. I'll keep that one as a spare. I bought this one from ebay and refinished it.

Hey Dave. Since this is nothing but a promo for your yet to be fully released business venture as a vendor of sticky refinishing services why don't you just state it as so and stop the teasing promo nonsense.

If you aren't going to to tell the forum what you are using on the sticky parts what is the point of showing pictures of them?

Bob, I've been a major contributor to this forum since day one. This thread is all about my restoration of my 95 Berlinetta. This is the part of the project I'm working on now, no different than other parts. In a few days I will be done with this portion of the restoration and will move on to other parts which I will continue to post about.

I'm following Robb's recent thread and working toward positive posts and won't reply to anymore negativity from you.

Thank you and have a good day.

Let me explain it to you Bob:

The title of this thread is Project Restoration. As such, it is a collection of pictures documenting the spectacular progress Dave has made on his recently acquired F355b in a very short period of time. Numerous other posters (including me) have found this thread to be extremely helpful as evidenced by their posts. If this isn't abundantly clear to you, I suggest you go back to the beginning of this thread and start reading the comments all over again.

You seem to have extreme difficulties playing nicely in the sandbox with others. Here's a helpful suggestion..... If you can't think of anything nice to post to this thread, why don't you simply refrain from posting?? It' basically what the rest of us learned in kindergarten!!!

Yes. I agree that we should be supportive, positive, and helpful where possible. Makes the forum a much better getaway from real work and drama.

I like seeing the progress that Dave is making on ALL parts of his car.

The group ebbs and flows , and can flare up, when it comes to hard to find items, techniques, or competition over finding a deal on a car. No harm no foul. And most have given plenty back to the forum - Dave included. It's ok to keep one or two "old Chinese secrets" for yourself or future.

Dave. I have been a major contributor to this site as have many before you and I and will be afterwards

I dont drink kool aid. Never have. Hate the stuff and it rots your teeth.

You pictures of finished sticky pieces are nothing more thAn a promotion for your yet to be officially released refinishing business. I , speaking for myself, am not stupid and your declining to discuss techniques on this DIY task and admitting that it will become a business yet still show pics of results is transparent.

If you don't want comments on your thread then label it as demo only, no comments allowed.

Who cares?? This is America, right???

If he has expended time and effort to optimize or perfect some service that is of value to board members, then they can decide wheter or not they wish to utilize him for said service.

Really no different that the other Ferrari enthusiasts who started refinishing wheels, restoring worn leather, providing improved engine hose kits, manufacturing carbon fiber parts, etc.
