I have my cali lowered with Novitec springs by my local auto shop. The height is measured from shock threads 2cm at rear and 4cm at front. ( Is this even a proper setup for a FR hardtop? )
The shop did the alignment by "experience." :( I only drove the car for less than 20km today so far seems okay. A little bit more stiffer, less body roll yet still very comfortable.

Get the alignment specs from a Ferrari dealer and make sure camber and toe-in are correct at the ride height you have now. Results of not doing this can be extremely rapid tire wear, followed by squirrely handling, especially in the wet.

Unless the "experience" was with a California, which has a completely new multi-link rear suspension, compared to the old unequal H/A arm suspension on earlier Ferraris, they may be winging it. To properly align the rear suspension, you also need a selection of spacers which are unique to the California and 458, which both have multi-link rear suspension. The front suspension also uses California/458 unique spacers for suspension alignment.

Very wise advice here! Badly done alignment can really cause very unpredictable handling so its best to make sure everything is set up correctly. Of course I am sure there would be some tolerance built into the standard set up so a few degrees either way should be ok but if the settings drastically differ from factory I would suggest correcting to factory.

Jacques- Right you are and the settings are actually tighter than a degree and typically camber and caster (caster normally fixed) have only a + or - 10 minutes (1/6 degree) tolerance, and toe-in tolerance is in the 0.5-1.0 mm range.
