I know some of you work on your ferraris. How and what is the best method for replacing a head?

Yes, I know, it is common sense.... I think it should be aproached as any other internal combustine engine head job. But I have heard something pretty silly sounding in my openion, as far as replacing ferrari heads and I'm wondering if there is any "special" way of doing it on a 308.
