suggested input, both positive and negative on the value of shipping 4 390 308 wheels with good michlein tyres from california to Quebec, the car transport people do not want to take the spare wheels/tyres with the car. I know the wheels even though are very nice are practically worthless. Is ther some notalgia connected to have the origional wheels with the car eventhough 16" wheels are on the car. Thanks for your help

If your 16" wheels are original Ferrari wheels then I would say no reason to bother spending hundreds $$$ to have them shipped. If they are not then I would keep them as the only original factory wheel set for the car.

UPS takes ships tired wheels without any packing...just tie a tag fastened through the middle hole. I send a set from NoOregon to SoCalifornia for $30+ each.

I did just that thing a few weeks ago & shipped 2 390 metic wheels with tires across the country. The tires mounted on the wheels were old Michelins & the buyer wanted them as well. I put cardboard disks on eaither side of the wheel to protect the rim edges. The cardbaord was held in place with strong packing tape. UPS accepted them with no issues at all. The total weight for 2 wheels with 2 tires was just under 80 pounds & cost about $115.

Just wrap them in some old blankets or sheets and pack them in the car. Should be able to fit at least 3 while leaving the driver side open. Then just ship the 4th
