I'd been working with the Prostate Cancer Foundation for the last several years, helping this with various NYC & D.C. base fund raisers...and I was thinking about organizing a "Prostate Cancer" charity drive with a significant portion of the proceeds going to the foundation and the rest toward lunch or something after the drive. Thinking of a Manhattan to Long Island Drive...This drive would included the lambo, corvette, viper and other exotics as well...

    What do you guys think?

P.S. the saw mill is a great drive, also I think i took CT-15 or something down from stamford on sunday. My GPS picked the route, but it was an amazing drive. Ill see if i can find that road again.

Though I'm usually one to resist an off-color joke, I can't resist pointing out the, ahem, irony and general discomfort of the words "feeler" and "prostate" in the same sentence. Joking aside, since prostate cancer is a serious and awful thing which (statistics suggest) a great deal of us Fchaters may have to deal with in our "later years", this sounds like an interesting idea. If I can make it whenever it's held, I'll be there... Manhattan to Long Island is a drive I've actually been planning to do, anyway. Maybe you can pick a nice destination with a restaurant on or near the beach.

    See you around, Robin.

Anything but the 8th or the 15th, im in vegas and berlin:) Im down for any other weekend. Do you want to get magnets or something made up for the side of our cars? I can go the graphics work and get them printed. It shouldnt cost too much. Plus it would help if we got pulled over;)

I tried getting a charity drive going to the Montreal GP in conjunction with events w/ local chapters on the way up and a bigger dinner event (maybe w/the teams etc.) with the Quebec Group...but it is way too late for that this year and I think starting local and building a local working group is the best idea...if you want to do a NJ fun run ... I can suggest Michaelangelo's in Franklin Lakes for brunch if others know nice roads out there ( I am a Manhattanite)

Would the hamptons be too far of a run? I several restaurants who are willing to participate in this event. or would Jones Beach be a more suitable location? As of now aiming for either the weekend of July 15 or 22.

You're not going to go more than 5 mph out near the Hamptons during the summer unless you go very early. How about the wineries on the north fork?
