For anyone with carbon/ceramic rotors that also swaps wheels themselves like putting winter tires on the car (Yep I drive mine in the snow:D), my dealer uses a Lambo part number 65395009 which is basically a nine inch long stud with threads that go into your rotors. You pull one or two bolts out of your wheel then thread one or two of these in the rotor then remove the rest of the lug bolts. Slide the wheel off the rotor on the studs making it VERY difficult to damage your rotor with the wheel.

To install the wheel obviously slide the wheel on the studs, put three bolts in the wheel snugged down then pull the studs and put the rest of the bolts in. Don't forget to torque your lug bolts properly!

I got them from my Ferrari dealer who is also a Lambo dealer. They are also available from LAMBORGHINI PARTS, SERVICE and RESTORATION.

Nice idea; perhaps this could be a cheaper alternative: a 12" long M14x1.5mm stud from McMaster's for a little over $20. Just wrap tape around the end if you don't want to get your hands dirty.

My techs have at least one of those for putting on wheels on hubs that do not have the short hanger studs. No idea it was a Lambo tool.

    Thanks for the photo Jeff!

Switching to SottoZero's on the FF probably this weekend since a frozen mix is predicted for next Friday so I will get to use mine the first time.

What is the reason some European cars use wheel bolts instead of studs and nuts?

Hopefully Lambo's are not built like the tools I received. Both of them the threads are crap and need chased with a die. Sorry guys ... although my overall idea is good do NOT get them from Lambo! I'm going to pickup a die to see if I can fix mine :(

Actually decided to order a pair from Ricambi thanks to their post!
