Prugna 512TR on Mobile.DE

Well, I was bored and decided to look at cars online! and I found this beauty. I figured someone here might want to see it. Unfortunately, the SN is not listed in the ad.

My buddy purchased a 512M in that exact color.

 

Awsome....a Prunga TR. Even has a Prunga dash. Needs the intake plenums done in Prunga. Hell I'd roll that baby.

This car is in Belgium. I have looked at this one before I bought mine 512tr two years ago. I was in love with the color combination... The pictures look great, but it is a car that will need a lot of attention before it will be 'perfect' again. The leather on the driver seat has a hole in it, the carpets are very rough and looks dirty, all the 'slow' down lights keeps burning trough the test drive, cracks in the mirrors, chips on the hood, and so on... And a high milages...
The seller was telling me, he would do the maintance when the car is sold, for the price listed but would not adress the other flaw's...

The 512tr I bought was in mind condition for only 6000 Euro's more, so it was a non brainer for me wich one to choose... Allthough the color was red with black...

 

It's been confirmed by the F factory: it's the only one delivered in Europe .......

Pitty to say, but this is an example of a not well-maintained, scruffy looking F512TR.

Having as a result: very many optical problems to be cured ... (means lots of money) ..

The car was tested by the F dealer last week .... as a result of that (means even more lots of money) ... it is defitively not going to be sold to any of us ... ...

Wow I just love the 512s in that color!! Awesome car.

 

that is a true blue chip color if you ask me. a car with the pressence of a tr in that ballsy color is sure to get lots of adulation!!! it almost makes the car look "bad boy elegant"!

Not exactly, so just to be sure: the factory confirms that the original colour of this car is "Extracampionario Prugna Metallizzato". In other words, a non-standard colour at a special request for the first owner.

To explain a bit more: Prugna was a colour that was standard available on types like the Testarossa, 308 and Mondial. However, it was NOT a standard colour for the 512 TR (note: I need to change this on my www.red-headed.com site, but it's confirmed by reliable information from Cavallino and Keith Bluemel). So, this explains the "Extracampionario" in front of the colour name, which means "non standard".

I can't be sure how many 512 TRs are made in this colour, but I won't be surprised to see that it's the only one in the world ...

It's no surprise to you anymore, but I guess it was still sold to "any of us"

The car certainly needs some attention and I will certainly take care of that! It's now undergoing a big service and I will also make sure the electronics will work as it should. Plus some additional issues. Then followed by some cleaning and detailing to make it nice again, also from an optical point of view. So yes, it will take some money and some time, but hopefully I can soon start cruising it

A 91TR was my first Fcar back in 1992, and I've had a love affair with them ever since. This is an awesome example. I just love the interior! Congratulations! Was there a "Nera Blue" that a few TR's were painted in 1987 or 1988? I haven't thought of that in years, but for some reason this car reminded me of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you mean "Sera Blue" (or Blu Sera)? Also a pretty rare colour on TRs!

 

You can see Blu Sera TRs on a recent thread (called "Blur TRs!") or in my profile, but I've never heard of Nera Blu. It would be an awesome discovery if it existed though!

I have a Pruniga (sp?) It's a 1988 1/2 TR Possibly the only one in the US. I'd like to find someone else who has one.

I have six prugna Testarossas in the USA in my database, although one of them has been repainted black unfortunately. There might well be a few more, as I don´t know the colour of every single Testarossa in the USA.

Could you please tell the s/n of yours?

I have a 1988 TR in prugna Tan interior. Maybe the only one in the U.S. Currently in FLorida.

LOve it, it gets remarks anywhere it goes. NOt the usual resale red,.
