I've never seen a GT with the steering wheel spokes without holes. It must be a very late U.S. Type E. Very nice color combination. Anyone know the serial number? Fred
It looks like 04502 which was previously discussed in this thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=365535&highlight=04502 The colour is Rosso Cordoba not Prugna as stated on the latest ad.
It was a local car. https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/223155_10150554557355284_7763391_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/223060_10150554557570284_6148375_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/223295_10150554557660284_6592684_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/227900_10150554557735284_6622197_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/247053_10150606246470284_3429799_n.jpg
This is the famed "dented prugna dino" that Jon bought a few years back. Looks like a great car, so I've always wondered why he unloaded it. Maybe because it wasn't prugna after all? It seems that it has been on the market a very long time. Maybe being passed around, flipped? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200130 Do you know the owner? Do you know if it was sold by 2 Shores? The guy in Burlingame is a broker and doesn't have possession of the car, from what I understand.
omgjon - any comments on this car? I'd love to hear what you thought about it. Looks like a good driver.
It was a great driver. I bought it and a few days later a guy called me really wanting that car. He was planning on doing Cooperstate Rally and really wanted the car. It was a fairly unmolested car with all the books and tools. So i sold to him making a few bucks figuring I could always find another. Another guy got a hold of me recently wanting to find a GT I could restore for him. I turned him on to this one and hopefully he'll do something.
Wow, it would be pretty cool if it found its way into your garage again! Cool story. I'd love to hear how it works out. Sure is pretty. I hope it stays the same color.....or perhaps even becomes prugna!
