Which one are you getting? I think I may get the PS3 over the 360, but knowing myself....ill end up with both.
Same here - PS3, definitely. Only in black, though... all my other Sony stuff in the entertainment center is black. Gotta do it with style, ya know...

tough call, i cant make a desicion yet. i need to know the games that will be coming out for each. xbox360 will have PGR3 and Forza2 along with a game called Saints something, sorta like GTA, sounds really good. PS3 will have the next GTA, and i guess GT5. and for both of them a really great arcade racer, Test Drive Unlimited, is coming out. i need to see other games for both before i make a choice.
I think thats the first time I've ever heard that... One of playstations strength has been the unequivocal opinion that 'Playstation has the best games.' Which games are you thinking of here? Meanwhile though I think Microsoft basically threw in the towel on making a 'console' and as is simply making computers without windows operating systems. This new one even looks like a tower PC. Oh, and neither. I'm a PC man. Haven't had a new console since the SNES.
XBOX 360 will RULE. They are looking at taking more shares than that of PS3... Playstation days are coming to an end (I think). XBOX is growing very rapidly. LIVE alone has generated an additional 1million players in the past year.
PS3. Playstation has always had the better games. My Xbox hasn't ben turned on in 2 years. Also the PS3 will be twice as powerful as the X360, not to mention the GTA series, GT series, MGS series and Socom series of games which are all Playstation exclusives. I'm planning to get both AND the new Nintendo. I may wait on the Xbox until Halo 3, whenever that may be; I've never played any game I liked more than the original Halo. The new Nintendo allegedly will allow you to download any of the legacy Nintendo games, many of which are really fun to play despite several generations of graphics improvements in the meantime. http://infendo.blogspot.com/
I'm not particularly a gamer, just plays some sports & mahjong games to practice for real games. My kids are into TV games, so we always ended up getting all game units. According to my kids, we are getting PS3, Xbox 360, then Nintendo new model. Frankly, I don't know the difference, so if you can elaborate why you're getting each model, it would help me to educate myself.
Microsoft wasnt sure if 360 would be able to play old xbox games. HA! PS3 will have three generations of games. What a library!
Im going with Xbox 360. They have PGR coming out and I heard the 360 will be able to connect to a computer via network to transfer media.
I've never understood this, and why people get excited over it. If you get a new system, you would get the new games that are worlds better then the old ones. Why spend $300-$400 on a new system if your going to play the old games? If you have old games, you'll likely have the old system.
but u have the option of playing older games that may not have new versions out yet, or will never be produced again. i.e. i continue to play the original Crash Bandicot even though i have beat it numerous times. its still is alot of fun. Or this other original playstation game named a little something called Formula 1. MS is still racing for benneton, its such a great game, the announcer is unparalled with his one liners like "ITS SHUMACHER, HES HIT THE BARRIER!!!" in his british voice. sooo great. It may be in my playstation right now.
