........in ALMS !!!!! http://www.americanlemans.com/News/Article.aspx?NewsID=1672 For those who posted on this forum a few weeks back about PTG shutting down you might want to read this headline. Looks like the are moving to the big show for next year. Regards, Jon P. Kofod www.flatoutracing.net
Yea, I'm glad to see both of them coming back. It's a pretty big coup for ALMS. More here: http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=206635
Excellent news. Now we need Dodge/Chrysler to get in on the fray. Let's hope BMW decides to run a legal cylinder amount this time, though.
They should be able to run with V8s, of course when the new M3 comes out (unless the rules have changed).
Baloney.....PTG and Scott Atherton made the announcement today. They haven't raced in ALMS since 01 when Porsche started whining. I know several of the crew members at PTG and even the crew members didn't know anything about it. The rumor floating around the last few weeks (incorrect it appears) was that PTG might back a full fledged DP effort in Grand Am.
I'm sure Tom Milner and Dave Klem will have their engines in the BMW Riley DP but that's it. PTG has aways been fierce competitors and look forward to their return. Any idea who they have as drivers? Boris Said and Bill Auberlin works for me... Joey Hand and ? Go get 'em Tom!
Have the Cadillac CTS-V's said whether or not they will get a chance to run in this new GT2S class? I hope they don't relegate themselves to the Speed World Challenge. Thanks again for the article, Jon...I posted it over at corvetteforum.com

My bad I didn't see they were coming back to ALMS. Yeah Porsche got them out because they were running those V8's.
