    I am in the process of getting supplies to change the fluid on my PTU and the PTU actuator. Has anybody found a place that sells Shell TF 1055 and Shell TF DCT-F3 in smaller than 20L pails? I can buy in this increment if needed but it seems silly to do so when I only need a few liters of each.

    I have searched the internet extensively and reached out to a few places where I have bought from and nobody has it in smaller quantities.

    I've never been able to find Shell products in a usable size, if I could fine it at all.

    thanks. i am fine with other brands too i suppose but i am also fine with getting the larger tubs of shell since the PTU can be so temperamental.

    And the TF 1055 is nothing to write home ..I used it before ..no additive at all in it

    I would suggest Ravenol vsg for that equivalent

    I think I am just going to get the big bucket and have some for when I do my DCT flush in november.

    All I can say is that ..what the factory puts in may not always be the best - each case is different - I think I can say that for gearbox oil here
    I don't have enough data on DCT fluid though

    Yeah totally fair and understood. I found a shell dealer/distributor who will make smaller batches up though so they are confirming they will do some small ones for me.

    They changed me $37 a liter.
