Well I did it - I ordered my Portofino M and now it’s a L O N G wait .... 6-8 months according to the dealer. Going to be agonizingly slow wait but really excited!!

I think with the redesign of the rear bumper, along with the extra 20 ponies with retuned exhaust and 8 speed Trany they finally addressed all the criticisms that earlier models had. I love the Roma but don’t like taking a chance on first model year.

Argento N. Very nice. Cool to see they have neck warmer now. My wife had an MB SLK with that and it's great for adding another 5 C - 10 F degrees of enjoyable temps with the top down. Enjoy!

Love the Roma but...the Porto-M has the drop top. Excellent choice.
    Congratulations!

Congrats. I ordered mine in Oct/Nov. I am a bit concerned though there has been zero word, no real pics of the model in the flesh maybe 2 - 3 that have been staged, no auto reviews, etc.

Another fchatter suggested they may not be built. My dealer is very mum and just says all is ok.

All emphasis is on the SF90 and the Roma.

On order, my dealer told me June. I guess I should have asked "June of what year."

i dont see why anyone would pick roma over porto. same mechanicals but porto has drop top and roma has generic style that could be mistaken for jaguar f type or aston vantage. guess the roma starts about $25k less but options probably make the 2 close in final sticker price.

Does PortoM have red start button or the new haptic device on steering wheel akin to the Roma?

Will be red start button. No changes made to the interior from the Portofino.

Portofino M's are going to be built. The first US Production M's are scheduled to begin in August/September. European M's will show up earlier.

Is August/Sept when they're going to start being built, or start being delivered to US customers. Either way, seems like they announced the car 9 to 12 months too early.

Buyers get in line, order cars, write checks and wait....why would they not want to announce early?

Because competitors come up with new features, electrification, etc. that start to catch your eye. Makes you question whether u really want to wait a year +.

Because it's a crappy experience for buyers, and the new model is already stale by the time it gets into customers' hands a year+ later.

Sorry for my inexperience, I forget, does that mean it's in the active build process? Do they send you any photos during the build??

From what i have seen, the status numbers are typically some variation on the following, I've seen vastly different timelines between updates depending on which car people have ordered:

P - Order in dealer system
    W - build slot allocated
    10G - Order accepted
    10R - Order frozen
    20 - Chassis assembly
    30 - Painting
    40 - Assembly line (dash/wiring/interior/options)
    First photo
    50 - Assembly line
    60 - Finishing
    Second photo
    70 - Testing
    85 - Storage
    90 - Water (in transit)
    Final photo
    91 - Arrived at port
    92 - PDI completed/Awaiting transport
    93 - Shipping to dealer
    94 - Dealer stock
    94R - Retailed

The dealer called when the car went 10G and said I had 24 hours before 10R. I upgraded wheels and was told it was added and the order locked.

Have not heard anything since but I figured I have a couple of months to wait so no reason to keep hitting them up.

The MyFerrari app shows "waiting list" but I have heard it is not updated frequently.

My Roma is at the port in the US. The Ferrari app still says “Waiting List.” That app looks like it was created by a 12 year old.
