Pulling door panel off 88 Countach

Hi,

I have a very small parking dent on my drivers side door where a door opened on it, im just wondering how easy it is to remove the door panel, as the dent man would need access to the rear to remove the dent. How does the window winder come off? The dent is so small you cannot see it unless you look for it so im wondering whether its worth bothering, i just hate pulling things off unnessarily just in case they don't go back right or break but at the same time it is the only mark on the side.

the window winder is attached with a omega spring, for a body workshop easy to remove.

 

My guess, it is probably more difficult to put the door back on the car and align it properly.

 

Not too difficult. As Raymond said, the window crank has an omega (shaped like the symbol) clip just like millions of other cars. Pretty easy for anyone that does bodywork to figure out.

 

your body guy should have one when he shows up... if not i just saw one for 5 bucks at NAPA. Other than that, just a screwdriver. If you can DRIVE this car then you can handle this. Couldn't be any easier.
