Hi, I am doing the flywheel regrease and large maintenance Now I see marks on the innerside of the pumpkin, does anybody know how it is made? Is it because of removing the flywheel?? or is something wrong? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really would like to know if other persons also have seen those marks in the inside of the pumpkin. .. Thanx
If I were to hazard a guess, it looks to me like a foreign object got between the rotating flywheel and the stationary bellhousing. Is it possible that a finger broke off the pressure plate at some point in time? It's a fairly common occurence. Does it look like fresh damage (shavings present in the bellhousing)?
when i removed it i didn't find any pieces etc, so a previous repair is possible. i can see a relativelt new ap-racing clutch mounted.
I just took mine apart and no marks or damage at all so I would also guess something previously got in there.
I dont have that either, mine is still apart. You should check the flywheel to see what has been rubbing on the housing.... ~ Mario
I found that one flywheel bolt has hit the housing once, I think someone forgot to tigthen before reassembly..
That is it. That would explain why the wear is only in the diameter and not all over the place if it was something loose in there.
