    I know this belongs in the "Other Italian" section. I have posted it there. But, I hope some here can give me counsel for a buddy. I don't have any knowledge of the QP. Thanks.

    A buddy of mine just called and was concerned about the reliability of the Quattroporte. He is looking to buy new next week but heard there were issues. Being a F-car owner myself, I understand the quirks with these Italian automobiles. However, I don't have any knowledge regarding the QP. Can anyone let me know what counsel you would give my friend? What issues are common? Is the reliability good or marginal?

    Hey Scott.....

    While I cannot offer an opinion of the QP in particular, I would say that if I was an interested buyer for one I'd be of the opinion that the car isn't sufficiently old enough yet to have that question answered on it's own merits.

    I would tend to look at the entire past history of the "new" Maserati marque for the main percentage of the answer you seek.
