I'm pretty excited about this car. I purchased it this week. The car was restored in 2002 by European Bodyworks in Bend, OR. At that time, the interior, exterior paint, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc. were replaced. The suspension and brakes are from a Carrera, the engine is a 1978 3.0L and the transmission is a 915, both rebuilt. i was going to call on it. looks like a really nice car. needs the retro door panels and you'll be good to go.
You're right, it needs that and maybe a few other minor things, but it's a really nice piece all in all.
pretty car. what's the chrome bar between the rear bumpers, around the license plate bracket? Looks like a nerf bar? never noticed those before
perfect retro color. hope that 3.0 is peppy. would be killer with a 3.6. ok, i'm off to check out the pelican parts, rennlist and early911s classifieds.......
It's plenty peppy at a little less than 270HP and a little less than 2300lbs. Original '73 RS was a 2.7.
Mike, gorgeous little car. With 270 on tap on a featherweight, I guess it should a hoot to drive.. I see yer running massive gumballs. Maybe you drop the profile a bit whilst maintaining the width. Reduction in overall diameter and you'd get better acceleration. What current sizes are you running now?
WOW! That is NEAT! Love it! Best of both worlds! Light weight more up to date power and trans! Way to go! Congrats, James
I have your RS door panels, never installed, PM me if your interested. Saw that car also in AW,sweet ride!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
