    These events sound cool and I'm sure they roll out the red carpet (as they should), but $1500 to drive your own car on track for an hour or $4K for 1 day of instruction with their car is crazy. If you just want some track time with some coaching, there are any number of clubs that car make that happen for a whole weekend for $500.

    I'm not worried about the $$ (this isn't a where can we save a dollar or two kinda thing), it's more about meeting all other Mac drivers/owners and the experience.

    I know several people that have done it and loved it--first class all the way. Met people they are friends to this day and meet up at other events such as Monte Carlo. I was curious if anyone here has gone. The one they do at COTA is a blast I hear and the drivers are not rental guys they pick up, these are McLaren factory drivers they fly over and know the car better than anyone else.

    I know several on the other forum have and raved as well. Anyways, I'm signing up for US event, just waiting on dates.

    $4K is a pretty good deal to drive their car... Round trip shipping from around the States to COTA would be around that amount in itself.

    I'm down. I have been there for a few F1 races, it would be great to drive the course.

    I've tracked my GT3RS on the track twice and it's a blast...that front straight in a 720...yes please!

    You and me both -- much less (financial) stress when that rock comes flying into the windshield at 150 MPH or some idiot slams into you :D

    When are they going to COTA? Is a date tentatively scheduled?

    It's been in Nov in past years--they have not released 2019 dates yet. Mac USA concierge said she would email me with info when released.
