Does the spot really have to be that big?

I mean..if you can't parallel park in the spot the size of Montana..you have no hope..

LOL, I know... You could simply drive into that spot front first!

This silly technology aside, Lexus is very good at what they do.

If someone gets the new LS let me know. I want to make a video of the reality of this technology. If I'm downtown in Chicago and some guy is playing around in the Lexus adjusting the computer for 5 minutes to park in the spot, I'm just going to fly in behind them and take it..

Can't say that I have. I generally do not have to worry about it in the suburbs though. But if I'm downtown I don't find it terribly difficult to parallel park in tight spots.

hahaha, thanks for the laugh. good point and VERY true, you're lucky in most cases if the car behind you will even wait 5 seconds while you back into the spot. good luck marking the grid and telling the computer where the cars are, etc.

my thoughts exactly! in Boston or any other major metropolitian city you'd see at least two cars squeezed into that gigantic spot (with some quality rubbing marks on both bumpers)

    Amen x2.

Most of my friends can't even drive stick anymore. Soon none of them will know how to park.

Lexus is getting incredible publicity out of this, though. Whether the technology is useful or not almost doesn't matter. So where's GM/Delphi on this stuff?
