"tolerance for stupid" and tolerating incompetence are the toughies. However, resisting what is, pushing back, and getting stressed and mad does more harm and will never improve the stupid and incompetence. Those are out of our control.

Agreed. I generally don’t get mad and stressed. But I have been known to abruptly end or dismiss a meeting early. :)

    Sideways thread, hard to read.
I just passed on ordering the last Urus Perf and am likely passing on the Urus SE.
The former has steel springs and rough ride for my conditions, the latter is now +400lbs for battery pack, although literature says as quick and fast as the Perf. Weight kills.
Wish my Puro was ready. Love the sound but not the looks.

Just got done reading the thread. WOW... SUV, FUV, quarter mile times, better or worst than Lusso, offroad capabilities or not, etc... Respect everyone's opinions, but it was never that complicated for me. It's a Ferrari where I can comfortably fit the family and the enjoy driving a Ferrari together versus my 2 seater Ferrari's? It's got a V12 (albeit, doesn't sound as good as previous V12 models)? Love the design. Where do I sign?? I don't plan on using it offroad, I don' plan on racing it against M5's, RS7's, Urus's, or Cayenne's, and I definitely don't plan on using it to haul stuff. I just wanted it because it I can have fun hauling the family around..

Will it hold value? I have no idea and I really don't care. Cars are meant to depreciate and I'm ok with that as long as I enjoyed the car. Patiently waiting for my allocation to lock hopefully this year. I can't wait to have it in the garage.

On a side note. I've read @Drivexxtreme's posts over the years on Rennlist. He knows a thing or two about racing...

  6. This is why I live by the mantra of "never underestimate the stupidity of people"

With that mindset going in, you're never disappointed. And hence rarely frustrated.

    I mostly agree.

A point on the sound, a loud exhaust will quickly become irksome for you have people in the backseat- and- in todays world of cars becoming quieter and quieter, I doubt the PS will seem very quiet in comparison. In my case, I am happy to have one with a less loud exhaust, no need to let the whole world know what you’re doing. I think the sound is just about right.

The only place I really noticed the weight, even in sporty driving, is how the power doesnt quite overwhelm the experience as it does in other models. The positive of this is I know I will use more of the revs more of the time.

The one real issue I have with the whole car, the UI, especially now, having seen the Dodici Cilindri, it would have been nice to have that middle screen for the PS.

The Perf is great. I added sport cats to mine and it just sounds evil. The advantage over the Puro will be the amount of space for cargo, passengers and much better tech. The Puro has the latest design and v12 however that v12 is muted and may need some sort of mod to get the noise we all love. It is going to be hard for me to let my Perf go when my Puro comes in.

I dont know why they didnt do the center screen. Using the dash screen and crappy haptics will be cumbersome and unsafe. Also, I dont believe it has Nav so hopefully you always have a good cell connection for traveling. I foresee people bypassing the entertainment system and just using their phones. It shouldn't be that way in a car costing over $500k.

It's actually pretty good in the Urus but let's assume you use Waze. How are you going to see it behind the steering wheel in the Puro?

I'm still waiting on my Puro so can't comment on it.
But one would think indeed that in 2024 this 'simple' connectivity should already exist.
My wife's Merc GLE simply uses Apple Maps to connect with the heads up on any navigation.

Perf is too stiff for me but roomier than Puro. Puro handles and rides better and would be my pick between the two.

    Awesome!

I don’t do really off roading myself. Ranch roads and lease roads is mostly as wild as I get! :)
