I'd rather live even further in the past tbh, maybe 1998 and be driving a brand new 550 :)

and the beautiful thing is ferrari can't take away that, there's so many older cars around brimming with character around

Just bought Dino GTS - said to be perfect from reputable dealer.
Two weeks - shop three times and now alternator etc 6k
However I absolutely love driving it - drove it every day and can't wait to get it back. I get the want for older Ferrari's
But - good Dino is 300k add 400k for restoration 700 - 750k minimum and two years.
Own 7 F cars three on order - hope is to get 296XX and 12Ci Comp - 2 - 3 years and after that might be out as well.
At 6'2 there aren't many older cars that work and it is work to keep them on the road - I think what you are saying is a very common theme.
Dealers are tough - Ferrari doesn't give them enough cars so they need to choke the customers - it does become a bit rough to handle.

Buddy, it is the market. He is talking about trade in value to the dealers. I have spoken to three dealers guys, that is the going rate. 600k at best for a 820k car, depends on specs and miles of course.

Just go ask your dealer what they will pay you for your car, and report back before you call people bs.

That's not market - trade in values are not market. Sale is market on a comparable spec mileage history - welcome to Ferrari ownership.
Have an XX - not wasting my or the dealers time to post on F chat.
This is a public forum not a dealership forum - go spend 30M and open a Ferrari dealer receive 4.5 allocations and report back on buying SF90's at retail after spending 250.00 on CPO paying a salesman etc. Give it a rest or show proof - your posts are not entertaining whatsoever.

You could not expect to buy a Dino from a dealer, And expect it to be perfect. The only way you can do that is go out and do a PPI with a Dino from the Dino section. Then, you will deal and everybody’s happy. Your unfortunate results up-to-date, are typical when you buy the way you have.
I appreciate the fact you love Dino, but if you don’t want problems, buy a new Ferrari and then have the warranty take care of it. You spent close to seven grand for an alternator, really?

    Regards, Alberto

PS. And you say you own seven Ferrari and you have three more in order, what do you do drive all day long?
    Or just look at them…..

Your argument techniques and rhetorics are just so repetitive and unsophisticated. Given the fact that every other two posts you have to say you have a XX, I must ask are you the kind of guys wearing two platinum daytona each hand at the same time? Your ego is so fragile.

So when you lose an argument / debate you attack personal - I really don't care what my frkn F car is worth - just trying to show how much bs you all spew.
I am telling you my experience which is legit - it's not bragging it's a Ferrari forum!
Putting you on ignore - nothing you say is enjoyable.

Oh boy if reminding your argument technique being unsophisticated is considered personal attacking, you really so have a fragile ego. That does prove it doesn't it?

What experience are we talking about here? Your XX driving experience?

It seems to me you are very sensitive to the market values discussion. Maybe that is your achilles in playing this game. Maybe it's not. But your display of persona matches those guys wearing all the watches on both arms at the same time, because that's all they have and they have to impress.

Did I not educate you who Kari Voutilainen is when you mocked some guy being poor but his watch collection IG was followed by Kari?

I don't believe there's any reason to get heated about things. The market conditions are not ideal in the current environment, and the cars are depreciating. Those are facts. There are two market scenarios at work as there always are... trade-in value, and resell value. Some specs are doing better than others, but overall depreciation is happening as would normally occur. The shock value may be in the higher pricing tiers on newer cars that fall quicker to normalized pricing tiers making the depreciation factor feel far worse than normal occurrence, also production is higher resulting in more cars on the market. Regardless, the cars can and will depreciate. None of us love losing money, but if you love the car, buy it, and enjoy it. If you want to wait for a pre-owned deal to save money or look for that deal, then go after it. Again, no reason to get heated and go after one another. Just my two cents.

Touchy touchy, Cocoloco...you like only what goes through your head...

On another subject, I prefer Uncle Miltie...and if you continue, Dinoland will stop bestowing praise on your lemony Dino, with all your sad breakdowns ...:( You are not Dino material...
that you bought on a whim, with algorithms about investment, resto costs, blah blah.

We are more subdued than you, and most of us do not own oodles of modern F ("frckn"), cars, not to mention, if we did, we do not dwell on the fact.
Toned down, and a spot of low key, is better.

This, while taking advantage to photo car + digs. Was that really necessary, and are you really 6'2", and not 5'7" ? Why the need to spot on your vitals?
Any other ones you care to point out?

You are not one of us, too hot for us simple Dino types. Cocoloco, I think more Vacaloca.

    Regards, U. Miltie

Slightly off target, common theme as you seem frail and withering.
Own lots of old cars / motorcycles / dirt bikes and new - so be careful.
Go read the Dino section - value thread.
You want to school me - out of your league, sit on the bench :) It's comfy for you and it shows.
Everything you said is a reflection of you - not me just ask around.

Puro thread - I agree but it seems to be a common theme and quite the time waster.
Back to the subject - Puro is selling 200k plus over - some you win some you lose.

Puro? Puro what? Oh, I own a Puro....or, a Merc, a Lambo? Abbreviations for a Ferrari? Do you call a Roma a Ro, or a Ma? An En or a Zo?

You are my hero Vacaloca, I am really impressed about your class and demeanour, not to mention savoir faire.
So, what else shall we be impressed about? Trophy dog / wife / mistress / virility / plumpness? Incredible Chicago Boys Economic formulae?
    300K +400K = 700K = Dino.... uh huh.

You are probably friends with J.G...nah, not your league as #0846. Probably don't even know of Villa d'Este. A simple parvenu.

And, you are telling me to "be careful"? Really? Of your ownership of you gadgetry and accoutrements? Or, YOU?

What, are you a member of the MS 13? Or, of what pray tell, your stats? Or your pomp?

    Regards, Shemp ......:):):):):):):)

PS. You mention ask of you, at the local bar?, you sound like a tropical drink made with cheap booze

PPS. Now I receive another riposte, that is not on the site. What gives?

"never complained about the Dino - you assumed that. in fact go read the thread, just the opposite.
Now insulting me / my home my height - own lots of old cars motorcycles dirt bike mini bikes etc.
You assume it's ok to chirp at me - you are mistaken and feel good we aren't speaking mono e mono.
I am not up for a punk like yourself."

    Again, read above.

Also it is "mano a mano" not "mono e mono" that means monkey and monkey... so not very clear on your lack of grammar or command of foreign languages.
Your mini bike implication must be significant , perhaps size? It's the braggadocio...
I do not chirp, I roar. Punk? You must really associate to the word due to experience. Sad. All you have is MONEY, and possessions.

A funny thing would be to enforce that, if Ferrari wants to get the first right of refusal at initial purchase price, they should also commit to take back the car at that price during the same period.
That would be more balanced: if the market is up, Ferrari has the priority to take the profit; BUT if the market is down, they have the "priority" to take the hit.
The current situation where they intend to secure a potential profit without taking any risk is an abuse IMHO.
