This is spot on. I commuted in an F12 and put 40,000 miles on the car, I tried to do the same in the 812 and the seats were so hard I would literally crawl out after an hour and half in traffic. To have a car which apparently drives as well (if not better) than an 812 in a comfortable package which has great visibility all around and super comfortable seats is extremely appealing.

Not only comfortable seats but comfortable seats with massage. So I can drive a blazing v12, incredible chassis AND get a massage? Sign me up!

Racing seats in the 812? The base seats in both and Daytonas are not dissimilar.

    first one on the market?

in UK ask is around GBP550k and a dealer stated that he would be willing to pay 100k over which would get you to c. 500k for a regularly spec'd car...I am sure the dealer would want to make 30-50k

As noted, as people get older, lower cars are more difficult to get in and out of. Especially out of.

As to why a Ferrari, let me pose this question to you: if you cannot realistically enjoy getting in and out of your F12 or 812 anymore and really love the V12 sound/feel etc. what else can you buy that gets all of these?

Some of us still really love the V12. And the marquis. I’m ordering one so I can keep enjoying these F V12’s when I’m too old to manage graceful ingress/egress to my current stable. ;)

Nah, you can barely hear the v12 and if you are so old that you can't get in and out of a car you have other issues. The Purosangue barely has room for your cane.

I think you can hear and feel the V12 just fine, especially as you build RPMs. But- if you are going to leave it in auto and have the RPMs stay around 1-2k, then, I would agree, as compared to prior models, the V12 sound and feel are less obvious.

If you are so old you can't get into a car you're unlikely to wind out.

Youngsters have no clue about aging….

My dad was a long time Ferrari fan having owned many. He stopped driving them at some point when it was too awkward to get in and out of the low cars. When the FF came out, I talked him into one. Yes, at 80 he had other issues. But the smile and happiness it brought him was fantastic.

    Deride that all you want.

    I agree 100% with jumpinjohn and Caeruleus11.

If the easier entry/exit of a Purosangue allows someone to keep enjoying a Ferrari and V12 in particular in his/her older years then that’s just another great thing about it. There’s enough V12 sound there to enjoy too.

Why would you have to justify to others why you decided to buy something you really enjoy? Who cares what they think as long as you are happy? The world is full of whiners and the internet gave them a voice, one of the downsides of the world wide web LOL

It is not about justification, I just don't see the Purosangue being sought out by our elderly.
If by chance there are 3 or 4 80 year olds interested I doubt that is moving the needle for Ferrari. Most that have ordered this car like myself are not senior citizens.

The primary demographic is for people who want to share the Ferrari experience with others and have a fun daily, not so much for older people to get in and out if a car.

Elderly demographic aside, have you ever tried getting out a Ferrari after leg day? That alone is reason enough to buy the Purosangue [emoji23]

Good point but getting out of anything is tough on or after leg day.

Senior citizen is now anyone 65 or older…. :/

I don’t disagree that the driver for ordering the PS for most people might not be easy for ingress/egress. But it is probably more than 3-4.

You have at least one single reason it matters to an elderly person. In addition to leg day for youngsters! [emoji4]

What color are you thinking to get for yours? I’m thinking a Grigio of some shade…

Mine arrived yesterday and with all this talk about getting in and out I paid attention to that and yes it’s sooo easy to get in and out, I don’t do leg day that often and very far from being a senior citizen but I do appreciate it :D

Sounds like an interesting spec (especially with the stripes). Do you have a render to share?

  23. When I am old (whatever "old" means) and I am still fortunate enough to drive a Puro, or any Ferrari, I am not going to give a flying f#ck what people think as I ingress/egress out of the SUV or car.

    My favorite white!

We are still waiting for our allocation to come up. Thinking a gray or silver bit if history is any predictor, my wife will change my idea of the color when configuring at the dealer! I’m fine with that because she has impeccable taste!
