I'm in the midst of changing my cam belts and tensioners for the fifth time. Each time I have done it I have wondered why there are three small lines on the vapor canister that go to the passenger side fuel tank. So now, after 30 years of ownership, I am asking if anyone can enlighten me as to their purpose.

But why three hoses when one that has an internal diameter 1.732 times larger would suffice?

Its a good question, more modern versions seem to have one hose in and out...
