So my battery died in my 2004 575F1 this afternoon.

I got my 13 year old daughter to bring the Rover up real close to my rear bumper and I placed a towel between the cars.

She was pushing me down the road as I was trying to pop it into gear. It’s just a manual clutch with a hydraulic shift, right?

I can’t figure out why I can’t pop the clutch on an F1?

It kept bucking back and forth and I may have damaged my rear bumper. Now it smells like clutch and there is fluid leaking.

Should I just pour more ATF into the cap mark oil on top? That is the transmission oil, right?
I am so confused. Can anyone help?

Interesting. The brake pedal is not required for start if the car is above 5mph.

oops.. hadn't had my morning coffee. Of course, the starter is not being used.

See comment about "morning coffee". Not everyone bothers reading past the subject/title. Welcome back.

    Having a 13-year-old push-start your 575M is bad luck. Better to use a 12 or 14-year-old.
