Hey guys, The hockey team is going out of town in a couple of days and I would love to have some movies on the old ipod to watch while on the bus. Problem is, I don't know how to get them to load. Apperantly just putting them in my itunes doesn't do the trick. Do I have to compress the file for it to fit? Please somoene help. Thanks in advance.

You need to convert them to mp4 format by using Handbrake, then place the file into your itunes movie section. I've done this with a couple of films for my ipod. I must warn you that it takes a long time to copy DVD to mp4 format but make sure to have the settings for two passes so you can insure to get the best quality. I made the mistake of only performing one pass & got the video but less than half of the audio.

If it was me, I'd just buy one of those $80 DVD players and a cigarette lighter plug for it.

Do guys really want to watch anything at length on a 2-3" screen ?

Thanks guys, I thought about the portable dvd too, but I already have the ipod. It just seems easier right now.
