Driving like a top for 10mi until I heard a "click" up front and lost acceleration power - no normal surge when accelerating/shifting etc (lost ignition in one bank?) - then after 4 more miles all was right again...no after market ignition like MSD on this car...insights welcome - thx

Thanks. Thought it might be carbs. Had a similar problem years ago and it was a butterfly problem with one of the carbs, darned if I can remember the full details though!

This is what age does to me! The mention of a "click" stirs some of my remaining brain cells, along with memories of using copious amounts of Wynns Carb Cleaner at the time. If I find another bottle of vino in the house I'm sure my memory will improve!

LOL...That "click" you recall was possibly a brain relay going out...drove for an hour today w/no negative affects. Will try to break her again this weekend - thanks again -
