Q: How do you stop junk faxes?

There are services and gadgets that will enable you to block specific incoming calls, such as from:

Anytime you get an unwelcome fax, just ID the incoming phone number and block it. Your local phone company may also offer this service through its own machinery.

 

If you have your name removed from their lists, your number goes out to five more companies to send you junk! Do what I do! If there is a return fax number or you can call the company and ask them for their fax number, dial them as I do after work hours.............And let it run for a few hours!!!!!! If they are on a paper fax machine, they will come to their office the next day to no paper, no toner and maybe a burnt out element (or an office that burned down because their laser printer got too hot!).

Turn it off! turn it on when you need it.

 

Put your fax number on the Do Not Call List and never leave it on over night.

 

Not an option for my business (and probably others) as customers fax me orders 24/7, especially from the Far East, so the machine stays on.
