Guys, this might be a moot point by now given that many of you have already purchased your QA1s, but I had an excellent experience with these guys when I bought mine:

    http://www.autofabracecars.com/

The total price (without shipping) was $711.96. I think this was a pretty good price for the following parts:

    REAR
    QA1 DR5855P shock = $144.99 each
    QA1 12-250 spring = $66 per pair

    FRONT
    QA1 DR4855P = $144.99 each
    QA1 10-300 spring = $66 per pair

Everything was in stock and shipped the same day I ordered them. Also, Josh was extremely responsive in every respect. He can be reached at (410) 796 - 8777 or by email at [email protected].

I was so impressed that I offered to post about my experience on ferrarichat ... so, job done!

No, Nick sells rebranded Alden Eagle coil-overs. His still require you to grind a small arc out of your A-arms.

If you search for 'QA1' and 'QA-1' you'll find a lot of good info about these coil-overs & installation options.

Qa is very popular in the drag race world too try Jegs & Summitracing for them too free shipping 2nd day on everything.

I have found that drag racers & circle track guys are a thrifty bunch, I guess because they race weekly & have such large numbers, that the prices in these site 7 catologs are very reasonable compared to traditional road racing sources.

things that are not lsited can be sourced with a phone call & most of this stuff is drop shipped so you get it now.

If you are looking for tie downs & other generic track & racing stuff you will find it at huge discounts. Also they have no hassel return policies. give it atry.

I can't answer that with 100% certainty. I have the paperweights so I'm okay! Perhaps Verell and/or Birdman might care to comment?

Yes, they need the paperweights. The paperweights were designed for the QA1. I can't comment on the Forza ones.

The Forza (Aldan Eagle) coil-overs require modifying your A-arms to get clearance.

I've had a couple of requests to develop something for the Forza shocks that would avoid the A-arm mod. I've taken a look at it, but haven't come up with anything I'd be comfortable making & selling. The problem is that the top of the Forza shock is hollow as it contains one of the adjusting valves. Cutting part of the top away for A-arm clearance creates a safety concern as it would weaken the internal bore's wall thickness, hence reducing the max pressure internal pressure the top can withstand.

Not that I need them myself, but I'm curious to know if you've made any more paperweights for those who still want to go the QA1 route?

I've still got 1 or 2 pairs of paper weights from the 1st production run.

Got mine from there too. Same experience.

Shipping to Europe was $175, by the way (for those who it may concern)

(Thanks again Chris, for the pointer)
