That looks like a lot of work! Good luck! I took mine out for the first time since october, what a lovely car. They are worth to restore.

    Wow Mitchell,

if those are the cars you're working on, you've got quite a job cut out for you for the next 15-20 years...!

Have you considered renting storage to get them in from the elements?

Somehow I had the impression that you had been buying mostly running/restored cars, and been disappointed. This looks more like examples requiring complete restoration, with all that entails.

    In either case, good luck!

I forgot this thread and added to another. the car pictured here will go back in storage(inside). purchased #60 from a dealer in Paris, Fr. for $31,000. he said it was the 1964 Show car in Paris. that remains to b searched. this car will go to Brett. I will start shipping arrangements next week. wish me luck that I have an honest dealer

dealer got his money this AM. sent me an e mail for the phone #. oh oh! I called and sure enough he answered. 'u speak english', 'yes'. talk about an overstatement. I had already sent him everything he needed. so after 10min. of struggle he got the phone # right, I hope. tomorrow will bring results, maybe. walter I feel that QP1's may b below your general interest but if u have anything to contribute I would welcome any comment. I consider your knowledge exceptional. am going to do the Maserati Classic info package. I think this car would be a Pebble Beach unrestored show entry. but my health will keep me from ever traveling again. a bit sad after finally having a possible candidate

FYI, Walter B. stopped contributing to the Maserati section, and as far as I know will no longer do so.

He felt he was being chided and belittled by more than one prolific poster on the Maserati section of f-chat; got tired of it and went elsewhere.

I suggest you contact him by email.

Love the QP! Post more photos when you can!

    Ciao and best!

when it arrives. I am sure anyone with common sense will miss Walter. I have had some stupid/unpleasant responses. it's all part my fault and dealing with every level of quick draw, shoot from the hip. like my favorite, 'what?'

    Hi

I think you may want to consider getting the car to ALSA in the UK for a proper sorted paint job. A real Maserati specialist and relatively good value. It may be you have a shop but worth considering.

    I have 2 cars there…..

Hey Mitchell. There is this thing called Google ... you may of heard of it :)

    Just pulling your leg ....

This is their website: CFR Rinkens - Global Transportation, Oversized Cargo, International Moving

Be aware that US Customs can be a real pain. In the name of homeland security they can virtually do whatever they want ... at your expense. When I imported a Fiat Dino from Italy the car was both x-rayed and manually inspected.

    Good luck!

    Ivan

    Hi Mitchell,

we always use Rinkens from US to Europe; perfect!

Mail Christoph Seitz in LA; [email protected]

He knows it all and can sort out issues from Europe to US.

Tell him I referred you. I still think I would get ALSA to paint it. Easy to truck to the UK and then ship it from here all freshly painted. He does all the work including wheels, window rubbers, door rubbers and his friendly mechanic and sort out most running issues also. Fully detailed motor bay also. I know I am selling and make nothing but I have never found anyone as good. A friend ships his cars from Germany to get done there and Thor took his from Scandiland
